The Rolex GMT-Master II was originally created for airline's to issue to their staff for long haul flights. The name GMT derives from Greenwich Mean Time and although replaced by the Coordinated Universa Time (UTC), the watch kept its original name. There is no doubt that the Rolex GMT-Master II is an oustanding watch. However, for most of us, owning a Rolex GMT-Master II is simply not possible. To solve this problem, WatchModSquad have created their Custom Built GMT-Master II, paying homage to the Rolex GMT-Master II.
WatchModSquad’s homage is made from a 316L stainless steel case and feature’s the distinctive 24-hour bezel, Mercedes hands and choice of both oyster and jubilee bracelet. Just like the Rolex GMT-Master II, WatchModSquad’s homage is powered by an automatic movement, however uses Seiko’s powerful NH34 as opposed to Rolex’s 3285.
Available in 5 colourways and priced at £250.
